Jasmine Spitzer is a third-generation educator and musician originally from Minot, North Dakota, but she has called Columbus home since 2017.
Jasmine earned a degree in K-12 Music Education from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2021 and loves teaching. She instructs the vocal jazz programming at Jazz Arts Group’s Jazz Academy and takes part in their community outreach opportunities. She’s been able to teach students in every neighborhood of Columbus, hopefully creating meaningful musical memories that will endure.
Jasmine’s has been exploring the intersection of music and mental health. Her debut album, “Here” is a collection of original songs about her personal struggles and triumphs, which have healed parts of her heart. Sharing these songs has been so rewarding based on the numerous comments and messages she’s received.
